It’s five o’clock in East Orlando!

This side of town has its own happy hour scene, and it’s a good one. From Waterford Lakes to Oviedo to Avalon Park, here’s where locals actually go when the workday wraps up!

Waterford Lakes Area

Social House Orlando
12521 Collegiate Way, Orlando

Social House runs happy hour Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. with half off the entire bar tab. On Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m. the deal shifts to $5 call drinks and $6 wine.

Half off the entire bar tab on weekdays is one of the better deals you’ll find in East Orlando. The patio is the move when the weather cooperates, which in Florida means roughly October through April and occasionally a perfect July evening.

Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant
529 N. Alafaya Trail, Orlando

Cooper’s Hawk offers a weekday happy hour with international wines by the glass for $8 and small bites starting at $10. If you’re a wine club member you already know. If you’re not, happy hour is a low-commitment way to figure out if you should be.

The tasting room is walk-in only, no reservations needed for that. Good option if you want something a little more relaxed than a full dinner out.

The Brass Tap
781 N. Alafaya Trail, Orlando

The Brass Tap carries an extensive craft beer selection with rotating taps from local, national, and international breweries, and runs daily happy hour specials on select drafts and bites.

It’s a sports bar that takes its beer seriously. Big screens, good taps, relaxed vibe. The kind of place you end up staying longer than you planned.

Marlow’s Tavern – Waterford Lakes
500 N. Alafaya Trail, Orlando

Marlow’s Tavern is a neighborhood American tavern with made-from-scratch food and a solid happy hour that regulars count on for weeknight wind-downs.

The bar area has its own energy without being loud. Good food to go alongside the drinks. A reliable spot that doesn’t need to try too hard.

Oviedo

Oviedo Park Pub
1924 Alafaya Trail, Oviedo (inside The Food Factory at Oviedo on the Park)

Oviedo Park Pub has earned its reputation as the go-to neighborhood bar in Oviedo, a relaxed spot with unbeatable happy hour deals on draft beer, bourbon, and specialty cocktails, plus trivia nights, live music, and big screens for the game.

The location inside The Food Factory at Oviedo on the Park gives you something most happy hour spots don’t, you can grab food from any of the surrounding vendors and bring it in. Greek, pizza, sushi – whatever sounds good. It’s a genuinely smart setup.

Rock & Brews – Oviedo
2525 W. State Road 426, Oviedo

Rock & Brews runs a family-friendly happy hour with 48-plus craft beers on tap, signature cocktails, and a menu made from scratch with local ingredients. The outdoor patio is dog-friendly with a separate dog menu.

If you have a dog, this is probably already your answer. If you don’t, it’s still worth knowing about. The Bavarian pretzel and happy hour beers have a following.

Sushi Pop
371 W. Mitchell Hammock Rd, Oviedo

Sushi Pop is one of Oviedo’s top-rated happy hour spots, known for creative sushi, a lively bar scene, and specials that keep regulars coming back on weeknights.

If you haven’t been, it’s the kind of place that surprises you. Oviedo doesn’t look like a city that would have a sushi bar this good. It does.

Avalon Park

The Blackhawk Social Club
12001 Avalon Lake Drive, Orlando

This one opened earlier this year and has already built a following in the Avalon Park community.

The Blackhawk Social Club offers live music, handcrafted cocktails, and a food menu in the heart of Avalon Park, a welcome addition to the neighborhood’s dining and social scene.

It’s the kind of spot that fits Avalon Park’s personality: walkable, community-oriented, the place you run into neighbors you actually like. Worth checking the schedule for live music nights specifically.

One More Thing

The spots on this list are all within a few miles of where a lot of people in East Orlando live. Walkable for some. A quick drive for most.

That’s one of the things that makes this side of town work, you don’t need to cross town to have a good Tuesday night.

If you’re curious about what it’s like to actually live out here: what the real estate looks like, what’s available, what homes are selling for, I’m always happy to have that conversation!
